Launched in 2012, Project Protégé is a 4-month mentorship programme for SIM GE students.
It is a collaborative partnership between the Career Development Office and Alumni Engagement with a view to enhancing their employability as well as fuel their personal ambitions. With mentorships gaining momentum in the marketplace, alumni are engaged from diverse industries with different levels of experience.
This programme provides a platform for them to contribute to and support their alma mater, in terms of sharing their professional experiences, career advice, job search strategies as well as their career-related expertise.
Project Protégé implies that it goes beyond ‘guidance’ and ‘support’ that is central in mentoring but moves towards active participation to influence, invest and commit to shape the mindset of students under their wing and be a part of their success journey.
The ultimate aim of Project Protégé for SIM GE students is to enhance personal development, career readiness and employability that inspires individual change, as well as to promote the development of the SIMGE professional network between students, alumni and the industry.
The next season of Project Protégé VII will commence on 11 July 2019 (Thurs);
registration will open in June.
