Outstanding local and international students pursuing bachelor’s degree programmes at SIM Global Education (SIM GE) can apply for the scholarship through one of the following categories:

Academic Excellence and Leadership

• Granted to outstanding students who have achieved academic excellence and demonstrated leadership qualities both in and outside the classroom.

Sports and Artistic Talent

• Granted to athletes who possess an impressive track record of achievement in sports, or individuals with outstanding artistic talents.

The award is S$15,000 per scholar. The scholarship award will be disbursed as follows;
1st disbursement – at the point of the award and
2nd disbursement – after review of final semester results.

There is no bond attached to the scholarship.

• Open to Singapore citizens, permanent residents and international students.
• Outstanding Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘A’ Level, Local Polytechnic Diploma, IB Diploma or Year 12 equivalent qualifications
• Have an impressive community contribution and co-curricular activities involvement record
• Possess strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
• Must separately seek admission to their programmes of choice and must be accepted for admission before being awarded the scholarship.

Applications open twice a year, in March and September.

For all programmes (except SIM-UOL programmes):

• March application is only open for programmes commencing in the second half of the current year (unless stated otherwise)
• September application is only open for programmes commencing in the first half of the next year (unless stated otherwise)

For UOL programmes with six-month term:

• March application is only open for programmes commencing in April of the current year
• September application is only open for programmes commencing in October of the current year

UOL programmes with one-year term:

• Both March and September applications are open for programmes commencing in the current year

The scholarship is tenable for the minimum period required to complete the full course of study, as stipulated by the programme. There is no bond attached to the scholarship.

Additional Information

• Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
• All shortlisted candidates are required to undergo an interview by the SIM Global Education Scholarships Selection Panel.
• The decision of SIM Global Education is final and we do not enter into any correspondence on the award of the Scholarship (including the reasons for not awarding the Scholarship). We reserve the right to vary the terms and conditions of any SIM Global Education Scholarship without prior notice.

Outstanding international students pursuing diploma programmes awarded by SIM can apply for one of the following diploma scholarships:

• SIM GE Academic Excellence Scholarship (Diploma)
• SIM GE Merit Scholarship (Diploma)

If you apply for both of these scholarships, only the application for the Merit Scholarship will be considered.

Applicants must be enrolled in one of these SIM diploma programmes:

• Diploma in Accounting
• Diploma in Banking & Finance
• Diploma in International Business
• Diploma in Management Studies
• Diploma in Information Technology

April intake: 1 October to 31 December
October intake: 1 April to 30 June

The scholarship is tenable for the minimum period required to complete the full course of study, as stipulated by the programme. There is no bond to the scholarships.

The diploma scholarship application for the April 2023 diploma intake is now open. Closing date will be on 30 December 2022, Friday.

• All official academic documents, certificates, transcripts, and reports showing grades awarded by institutions that you have completed or are currently pursuing, in original language with English translation, if applicable
• Documentary evidence of English Language qualifications (GCE ‘O’ Level / IELTS / TOEFL / SATI / Pearson Test / other equivalent English Language qualifications)
• Documentary evidence of all co-curricular activities / scholarships / achievements / awards (if any)
• Personal statement
• Photocopy of passport
• A copy of the acknowledgment document for your diploma application as evidence of successful application

• The scholar is required to sit for all tests, assessments and examinations, and obtain the qualification within the minimum period required of the course of study.
• The scholar is not allowed to change the Programme at any time.
• Scholars shall not take up or register or enrol in any other course(s) without the prior written approval of SIM GE.
• Scholars shall not, without the prior written approval of SIM GE, hold the Scholarship Award concurrently with any other scholarship or tuition grant.
• Every scholar is expected to contribute to SIM GE / the community.
• The scholarship will be monitored and renewed every semester provided the scholar maintains the required academic performance and good conduct
• The Scholarship may be withdrawn at any time if, in the opinion of SIM GE, the Scholar’s progress or behaviour is deemed unsatisfactory.
• If for whatsoever reasons the Scholarship is terminated, the Scholar shall personally bear all the fees for the remaining duration of the course of study; and the Scholar shall be further liable to repay SIM GE all of the Sponsorship Award Benefits that have been paid by SIM GE.
