SIM student windsurfers won one gold, one silver and three bronze medals at the 7th SIM Windsurfing Championship on 23-24 January.

They competed against windsurfers from Singapore Management University, Nanyang Technological University and Singapore University of Technology and Design.

The annual championship was organised by the Windsurfing Association Singapore (WAS) and the Singapore Sailing Federation (SSF), and sponsored by SIM Global Education. Participants from other countries also took part, including Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Great Britain, Netherlands and Argentina.

The SIM Windsurfing club organised the tertiary competition.

In line with encouraging learning outside the classroom, this is the seventh year that SIM is the title sponsor for one of the largest windsurfing events in the region.
