Under the baton of our conductors, Mr Siew Yi Li and Mr Tan Han Siang, the SIM Guitar and Strings Ensemble (GSE) brings together the distinct sounds of guitar and string instruments as one musical community.
Through the joining of the former SIM Guitar Club and SIM String Ensemble, GSE celebrates the unique character of both sections while exploring how our sounds complement and blend with one another. Our repertoire spans timeless classical works, contemporary favourites, and creative arrangements, giving members opportunities to experience a wide range of musical styles.
Beyond performance, GSE seeks to foster an environment for budding musicians to grow. Whether performing within our individual Guitar and Strings sections or coming together as a combined ensemble, we strive to create meaningful musical experiences and share our love for music with the SIM community.
