SIM International Affairs Society (IAS)
The International Affairs Society (IAS) is dedicated to gathering students with a passion for global awareness and a zeal for expanding their knowledge and skills in the realm of international relations by bridging academic inquiry with real-world developments.
Founded in December 2014, IAS has since grown to be a society that hosts and attends events and initiatives that impact students both within and beyond the academic discipline of international relations. The society comprises 3 bodies, each specialising in the following:
– Main Body – panel discussions with invited specialist speakers, research and advocacy on international issues
– The Gazette – a student-run bi-monthly publication on global events
– Model United Nations (MUN) – training delegates and conducting committee sessions for MUN conferences
