After 2 years of on-campus event restrictions due to the prevailing SMM,  Student Development (SDEV) is proud to have our SIM Student Involvement Drive (SID 2022) back at the SIM Atrium! 60 student clubs and councils participated in the event held on 5th-8th September 2022. It was really fabulous to see the atrium once again bustling with life through the exciting performances and showcase!

Students who had their ‘Involvement game cards’ filled up were able to redeem popcorns & candy floss! There were exciting giveaways to attract participants to join in the event – prizes included JBL Wireless Earbuds, Uniqlo Gift Card, Golden Village vouchers and more! The lucky draw segment was carried out on the last day to mark the end of SID 2022!

We had over 100 student leaders who supported the engagement of more than 800 students. We would like to extend a special thanks to all who have provided help to SDEV in one way or another! Thank you for your support!

CFA Institute Research Challenge seeks to nurture teams of undergraduates and/or graduate through practical training equity research.

Important dates to note for the internal selection process –

SIM Internal Selection Round

• Registration closing date (SIM) – 31 Oct 2022, 2300
• Submission of report & the selection of finalist teams (SIM) – 24 Nov 2022, 2359
• Announcement of teams (SIM) – 19 Dec 2022
• Final selection of SIM-CFA representative team (presentation round) – *26-29 Dec 2022

*Dates subjected to minor changes due to assessors availability

What to expect:

• Research and analyse a designated company
• Prepare a business report
• Guidance from faculty advisers and industry mentor
• Present and defend findings to industry experts
